Oakland University (OU) INC Night of Networking was held on Nov. 8, welcoming more than 70 guests to this inaugural event at the OU INC facility on campus. The event gave alumni, business partners and community representatives an opportunity to network and a chance to hear about the year’s incubator successes. The event also broadened awareness of the resources and support activities that are taking place within the business accelerator to support the energy, medical device and information technology sectors, and featured live demonstrations, including a hydrogen-powered golf cart, several robots, advanced lighting technology and OU’s award winning Formula SAE vehicle. Guests toured the facility, heard a presentation by Louay Chamra, dean of OU’s school of engineering, regarding the new engineering center to be completed on campus in 2014 as well as new business entities supported by OU INC.
